Internet Connection:


  • The user must have a minimum 1mb upload and 1mb download on their internet line to support Bionical Emas VPN
  • The user must make sure their Internet Service Provider (ISP) or home router does not block Virtual Private Network (VPN) or File Transfer Protocol (FTP) traffic
  • The user’s internet connection should not be unprotected (password required access)
  • The user’s Bionical Emas mobile phone must be able to connect to wireless
  • The user must check internet connectivity in first instance of not being able to connect
  • The user must make alternative plans to work with the company if their internet line is undergoing maintenance or there is a prolonged outage of internet connection

 

Physical:


  • Any mains power should be in good working order, it is the users responsibility to make sure all mains power is tested and working in their environment to a UK specification
  • Children, Pets and Animals should not be allowed near ICT equipment due to hair/dust and curiosity leading to damage
  • The Bionical Emas laptop must be used indoors in a dry, level and vented area

 

Communications:


  • The user must take into consideration any pre planned weekly or continual meetings requiring telecommunications


Training



  • The Bionical Emas laptop must not be left unlocked when leaving the environment they are working in
  • The user must make sure they have a method for securely printing and deleting paper copies of documents

 

Other requirements


  • The Bionical Emas laptop must be placed in a secure protected area when Working From Home
  • The Bionical Emas laptop must not be left unlocked when leaving the environment they are working in
  • The user must make sure they have a method for securely printing and deleting paper copies of any documents including shredding facility, confidential data cannot go into a standard home waste bin
